 Basically 2 types of Beard Transplant is available :
The FUT method of Beard transplant involves taking a strip with hair follicles from the donor site, this donor site can be back of your head usually. From this skin , smaller groups of tissues containing hair follicles are separated and prepared for transplantation . Meanwhile, the recipient site is reading to receive the follicles by creating tiny spaces in the jaw area . The surgery is done in local anesthesia and at Clinic Eximus you have the option of getting it done under Conscious sedation.
FUE Method is a more comprehensive method wherein the disadvantages of FUT method are overcome. Instead of taking the strip of Skin with Hair follicles , FUE involves harvesting individual hair follicles from the donor site and then transplanting it to the recipient site. Donor site can be back of head, beard , chest etc. Though it is more tedious and skill related , it prevents the appearance of scars at the donor site and hence a preferred method because of lower downtime and faster recovery .
