In today’s fast-paced world of 2024, finding time for thorough skincare routines at home can be challenging.

With increased exposure to UV rays and environmental factors, the risk of developing pigmentation, tanning, and other skin issues is higher than ever.

But fear not, because the solution is right here at Clinic Eximus.

Our Cosmelan Peel treatment offers a convenient and effective way to combat these concerns and achieve fresh, glowing skin.

What is Cosmelan Peel Treatment

Cosmelan peel, which is a professional depigmentation treatment designed to address various skin concerns related to hyperpigmentation, dark spots, melasma, and photodamage.

Basically, Cosmelan Peel is an advanced depigmentation treatment performed by skincare professionals. It effectively addresses various skin issues like hyperpigmentation, dark spots, melasma, photodamage, and signs of aging.

The treatment involves applying a specialized mask followed by a series of sessions. By exfoliating the skin and inhibiting melanocyte activity, it reduces pigment production, resulting in a more even skin tone and enhanced luminosity.

With long-lasting results lasting for months, Cosmelan Peel offers a comprehensive solution for individuals seeking to improve their skin’s appearance and address pigmentation concerns effectively.

Procedure of Cosmelan Peel Treatment

The Cosmelan Peel treatment is a two-part process. The first part is performed in our clinic by professionals, where a thick layer of the Cosmelan 1 peel is applied.

For the second part, we guide you through an at-home skincare regimen, to ensure long-lasting results and prevent hyperpigmentation from returning.

Part 1: In-Clinic Treatment

1. Preparation

Imagine you've scheduled a Cosmelan Peel treatment. You arrive at the clinic, where a professional cleans your face thoroughly, removing any excess oil.

2. Application

The professional then applies a thick layer of Cosmelan 1 peel to your face, ensuring it's fully covered.
This mask is left on your skin for 10-12 hours, depending on your skin type. This part takes about 10-15 minutes and is painless, but you'll need to stay indoors during this time.

3. Removal

After the prescribed hours, you wash off the mask with normal water at home.

Part 2: At-Home Care

1. Initial Days (Day 1-5)

After washing off the mask, your skin will start to become red and will start peeling from the third day.
During the first five days, apply a recovery cream 3-4 times a day and use sunscreen in the morning and afternoon.

2. Continued Care (Day 5 to 3 Months):

From the fifth day onwards, continue using sunscreen in the morning and afternoon.
Apply Recovery cream in the morning and at night.
Begin applying Cosmelan 2 cream at night to prevent melanin buildup.

3. Long-Term Maintenance

To maintain the effects, keep using Cosmelan 2 cream, taking a one-month break after every six months.
Always use SPF 50 sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun.

Cosmelan Peel involves an initial in-clinic mask application followed by a detailed at-home skincare regimen to ensure long-lasting results and prevent hyperpigmentation recurrence, so must follow it.

How long does the effects last?

After you undergo the Cosmelan Peel treatment and your skin gets all healed up,  you will start noticing significant improvements that include the elimination of dead skin cells, repair of sun damage, minimized pores, and a more uniform and luminous complexion.

Although there will be a recovery period and it will take a few weeks for the full effects to become visible, the benefits of the treatment will be enduring.

While not permanent, the results will last from several months up to a year. To improve these effects, it will be essential to follow a comprehensive at-home skincare regimen.

This will involve using products like Cosmelan 2 cream and sunscreen as directed by your skincare professional.

Hyperpigmentation That Can Be Treated by Cosmelan Peel

Age spots

Age spots, also known as liver spots, are flat, brown, or black spots that develop on the skin, typically in areas exposed to the sun. They are caused by an accumulation of melanin due to sun exposure over time.

Melasma

Melasma is a common skin condition characterized by brown or gray patches, typically appearing on the face. It's often triggered by hormonal changes and sun exposure. Cosmelan Peel can help lighten and reduce the appearance of these patches.

Sun-induced hyperpigmentation

Sun-induced hyperpigmentation refers to dark spots or patches on the skin caused by prolonged sun exposure. These areas appear darker due to increased melanin production triggered by UV radiation.

Uneven skin tone

Uneven skin tone refers to irregular distribution of pigment across the skin, resulting in areas of darker or lighter coloration. It can be caused by factors like sun exposure, genetics, or aging.

PIH

Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) is darkening of the skin that occurs after inflammation or injury, like acne, cuts, or burns. It happens due to overproduction of melanin in response to the skin trauma.

Freckles

Freckles are small, flat, circular spots of increased pigment concentration, often found on sun-exposed areas of fair-skinned individuals. They are typically genetic and darken with sun exposure.
